KaraFun is karaoke software for PC that offers a comprehensive solution for home karaoke. It is based on a dominant and evaluative 3D animation engine. KaraFun is said to contain an easy-to-use editor which can import many existing karaoke songs. Though it supports KAR files (midi), it works with digital files (MP3 for example) and introduces the new KFN file format. It features a new KFN file format which is a compressed file containing all information and files of the karaoke song, with a single KFN file containing all the karaoke information (artist, comments, difficulty…), music and materials (images, sounds, etc.).  The program uses a powerful 3D animation engine for animated lyrics and background, making your karaoke party a huge success.

The control window allows changing the key and speed of the song and sets the volume of the microphone and the guide, melody or vocal. Additional audio tracks can be muted automatically as soon as the microphone is used. The editor also allows the user to create animated MP3 karaoke (KFN), and karaoke presets for KAR, KOK, LRC and CDG files. Its other features include real-time render, library management, effects and events management, KOK and KAR file import, support for MID, MP3, OGG, S3M, MOD, IT and XM files. The program is compatible with the following operating systems – Windows 2003, XP, 2000, 98 and Me, with Pentium 3 at 850 MHz processor and a standard RAM of 256 MB.
